Welcome to my website - thanks for dropping in and I hope you find some of the things I've done, am doing or plan to do - interesting!

My Mother and Father, Mai and Clarence Simmons, were both musicians. They also had a couple of songs published way back when - so I suppose they are to blame for my interest in the wonderful business called 'show'.

My eldest brother Denis was starting out as a ventriloquist appearing in Bryan Michie's 'Youth Takes a Bow' several times until he was cruelly struck down with Tuberculosis. He died when he was nineteen.

My brother Vic, despite having a great singing voice and always having a new joke for me when I see him, decided against a career in entertainment. He went into the tea trade and became a tea taster and blender and finished up running the company he worked for. He's retired now but only brave people make him a cup of tea!

My other brother Alan and I had a professional relationship for thirty six years and in that time had a record on Juke Box Jury; won Opportunity Knocks; appeared on quite a few television shows; did a radio series with Ken Dodd OBE; worked with some of the biggest 'names' in the business, truly learnt our trade and received a lifetime achievement Award from The British Music Hall Society!

Now, as Simmons and Simmons, I work with my son Ben and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
